WATER PUMP FAILURE ON THE A1 NEAR LÜBECK – TRUCK EMERGENCY AT NIGHT
In April 2026, around 03:10 AM, a Romanian truck driver called our 24/7 hotline after a serious breakdown on the A99 near Lübeck, close to the Lübeck-West interchange.
The water pump impeller sheared off the shaft without warning — coolant circulation stopped instantly, the temperature gauge climbed into the red within three minutes, and the engine management system triggered a power-reduction warning. The refrigerated truck carrying Swedish goods heading from Travemünde toward Hamburg had to stop on the hard shoulder immediately. Steam was visible from the engine bay.
We handled communication in Polish. The driver received a fixed-price quote for towing and cooling system specialist transport. After payment confirmation, a heavy-duty recovery vehicle was dispatched right away.
