COOLANT SYSTEM FAILURE ON THE A7 NEAR KEMPTEN – TRUCK EMERGENCY AT NIGHT
In April 2026, around 03:10 AM, a Romanian truck driver called our 24/7 hotline after a serious breakdown on the A99 near Kempten, close to the Kempten-West interchange.
The main coolant hose burst without warning — coolant sprayed across the engine bay, the temperature gauge shot into the red within seconds, and the engine management system triggered an automatic shutdown to prevent terminal damage. The refrigerated truck carrying perishable goods from Italy toward Munich had to stop on the hard shoulder. The engine was locked and would not restart.
