Blown Tire on the A81 near Tübingen-Haar
A DAF XF on a long Stuttgart-to-Basel run called at a Tuebingen logistics yard for an overnight rest stop. During a routine pre-departure walk-round the following morning, the driver noticed the nearside steer tyre had worn down well below the legal minimum on one shoulder, a result of a slow alignment drift that had gone unnoticed across several hundred kilometres. Rather than risk an inspection stop on the A81 or the B281, the driver called LKWHelp24. The mobile van reached the yard on the outskirts of Tuebingen within 30 minutes.
