ENGINE OVERHEATING ON THE A71 NEAR SUHL – TRUCK EMERGENCY AT NIGHT
In April 2026, around 03:10 AM, a Romanian truck driver called our 24/7 hotline after a serious breakdown on the A99 near Suhl, close to the Suhl-West interchange.
The coolant pump failed suddenly on the long climb through the Thuringian Forest — the temperature gauge shot into the red and steam began rising from the engine compartment. The bulk tanker heading from Erfurt toward Schweinfurt had to stop on the hard shoulder immediately. Restarting was impossible without risking engine seizure.
We handled communication in Slovak. The driver received a fixed-price quote for towing and workshop transport. After payment confirmation, a heavy-duty recovery vehicle was dispatched right away.
